Founder’s Message
When I was in my early 40s, I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. The diagnosis came as a shock to me since I was very active my whole life and waking up some days feeling so stiff that I can barely get out of bed has been… challenging to say the least.
Rheumatoid arthritis is just one of the 80+ autoimmune diseases, and they all have a similar mechanism of the immune system turning and attacking the body’s own tissues. l founded Praespero to fund research that does not simply mask symptoms but works toward mapping out the root causes of autoimmune diseases. We aim to better understand the immune system and find viable solutions so that no one suffers through these debilitating diseases.
Praespero has a dedicated board of directors and an industry-leading scientific advisory board to help us get one step closer to our vision of ending autoimmune disease worldwide. Together we can make this vision a reality.
